Martin Holtgreve
Martin Holtgreve was born in Kaiserslautern, but grew up in Warsaw where he took on the stage of the TEATR POLSKI at a very young age and was featured in Polish TV, before moving to Tarp in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. After completing his A levels Martin studied Eastern European studies at Berlin’s Freie Universität and completed his musical education at the Stage School in Hamburg. After graduating he appeared in ELIZABETH – THE LEGEND OF A SAINT, DORIAN GRAY, SATYRICON and LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY at various theatres in Germany and Austria. He was featured in the 3sat/ZDF film production of Puccini’s TOSCA as Mario Cavaradossi.
For several years Martin worked as a soloist on AIDA ships and at the Fritz Theatre Bremen, where amongst other productions he played Charles in the 70ies musical FREAK OUT. At the State Theatre in Schleswig-Holstein he played Artie Green in SUNSET BOULEVARD and Eugene Fodor in CRAZY FOR YOU. On a world cruise with the MS ARTANIA Martin presented his solo programme IT WAS ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE and was also touring Europe as a backing singer for the Whitney Houston tribute show ONE MOMENT IN TIME. Martin has been a member of THE 12 TENORS for two years and been touring with them in Europe and South Korea.
